Ashley Connell has a wealth of experience in all aspects of Leasehold Enfranchisement and Property Law. He places particular emphasis on statutory lease extensions under the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993, acting for both freeholders and leaseholders across England & Wales.

As the Head of the Leasehold Enfranchisement Department, Ashley has overseen thousands of successful lease extensions. He is widely recognised for his ability to navigate complex statutory deadlines and negotiate aggressively on premiums to secure the best possible financial outcome for his clients.

Prior to his legal career, Ashley graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. This unique technical background provides him with a distinct advantage in leasehold enfranchisement, a field heavily reliant on complex mathematical formulas and valuation graphs.

While many solicitors struggle with the valuation algorithms used to calculate Marriage Value and relativity, Ashley’s analytical training allows him to scrutinize surveyors' reports with precision, ensuring his clients never pay a penny more than necessary.

Although based at our headquarters in North Lincolnshire, the vast majority of Ashley’s client base is located in London and the South East.

He is an established member of the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP) and is regarded as an industry expert in the 1993 Act, successfully guiding clients to a successful outcome from the initial valuation stage right through to completion.
