If you are handling a property transaction yourself, or using a conveyancer who is not local to you, the Land Registry requires your identity to be verified by a solicitor using an ID1 Form.
We provide this service for a transparent fixed fee. You do not need to be an existing client of Hetts Solicitors to use this service.
The meeting is usually very brief (approximately 15 minutes). We will check your documents, certify your photograph, and sign the form to verify your identity.

What You Need To Bring
To avoid a wasted journey, please ensure you bring all of the following items to your appointment.
1. The Documents
You must prepare your paperwork before arriving at our office:
- The ID1 Form: Please ensure Section A is fully completed before you arrive. Do not sign Section B until you are with the solicitor.
- Photo ID: A valid, current Passport or UK Photocard Driving Licence.
- Note: We can only accept original documents. Scans or photocopies are not accepted.
2. Photo & Payment
We are required to attach a certified photo to the form.
- Passport Photo: You must bring a recent, colour passport-sized photograph of yourself. This will be attached to the ID1 form.
- Payment: The fee is £40.00 per form. Payment can be made by card or cash at our reception desk.
